Marycarmen Soto is a graduate of the University of Florida and received her J.D. from St. Thomas School of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court Team and a competitor in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition. While in law school, Marycarmen was awarded dean’s list commendation and was the recipient of a highest grade award.
Marycarmen is an associate attorney at Roca Gonzalez, P.A., where she focuses her practice on real estate and corporate law, representing domestic and foreign clients in complex business ventures. Prior to joining RGPA, Marycarmen worked in the area of commercial litigation, construction law and served as a litigation attorney for the Florida Department of Children and Families, handling dependency cases before the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. While working at DCF, she served in the Unified Family Court/Complex Litigation Division, handling high-conflict cases with an array of family law issues. She has also provided pro bono work by representing undocumented children at state family court hearings and in their petitions for immigration services.
Marycarmen is an active member of the Miami-Dade Florida Association for Women Lawyers, serving as Co-Chair of MDFAWL’s Social Media Committee. Originally from Havana, Cuba, Marycarmen is fluent in Spanish and English.
